Bing up Google down

Well, I wanted to write about it for a long time but was not able to gather the data around it. Today I got to search the internet. I have been quite busy lately. The thing is that at this point of time Google dominates the Search Engine market. Therefore most of the SEOs or people like me who are trying to learn this trick want to get their pages up on google. Now as per the stats, Microsoft holds the largest share in OS and Browser field. Now coming October this year when Microsoft launches Windows 7 they will have Internet Explorer 8 shipped with it. And with Internet Explorer 8 they will ship the default search Engine and that will be Bing.

Now with 80% users using Microsoft, I believe out of those 80% there will be around 60% users who are noobs in terms of using the PC. Only 20% of the population will be like me and you how knows how to change the default Search Engine in IE. Now Bing being the default Search Engine on 80% of the world’s Computers there would be a flood of searches on Bing. People would use Bing without even knowing or wanting to use it. This has I guess already started, If you install IE on your PC. The newer version, it brings Bing with it.

2nd thing IE has again the maximum number of Users in Browser competition. That is clearly because Microsoft is the Leader in OS market and holds the maximum market share in OS industry. So people who use IE will by default search in Bing not in Google. There was a report that within 1 hour after the launch of Bing its market share in Search Engine industry was around 6-7% which is quite high for a new Search Engine. That was because it was a Microsoft product. We are going to see very drastic changes in the Search Engine industry. Google may eventually see the dawn of its era.

So all I wanna say is that don’t ignore your website for optimization on Search Engine Bing. Its going to go great in Future. By hook or crook, that has been the Microsoft policy all the time.
