Must explore – ISRO Chandrayaan fails – Plans to waste money again with Chandrayaan 2

I saw it coming. I knew ISRO Chandrayaan was going to be a failure. I had doubts and ISRO has not left me with any doubts now. Our government has already wasted m0ney on ISRO Bhuvan and now this.
[box type=quote size=small color=gray align=right]ISRO chairman Madhavan Nair has confirmed: “We will have to face the reality but we will have a better opportunity tomorrow.”[/box]

These guys aren’t over yet. They still wants to waste our money. I am not in favor of these kinds of missions. As stated earlier I want our government to invest in Indian Infrastructure. Build new Railway tracks, build new airports, build better roads; I mean there are millions of things that our government could do. Our government just simply wasted 81 million $ which could have been utilized in a better manner.  It does not matter whether we spent lesser money compared to what others have. All that matters is that we did waste money. And what is bothering me now is that our government is not ready to learn any lesson from this.

“The mission is definitely over. We have lost contact with the spacecraft,” Mayilsamy Annadurai, Project Director of the Chandrayaan-1, told PTI. He said the mission had almost completed its scientific objectives. “It has done its job technically … 100 per cent. Scientifically also, it has done almost 90-95 per cent of its job,” said Mr. Annadurai.

What job are we talking about here. What did ISRO Chandrayaan achieve. I am not sure. Can someone throw some light on the achievements of our ISRO Chandrayaan mission apart from some pictures being taken from it.

The mission was built to be failed. Its been proven now.

  1. Hi Kuldeep,

While ISRO Scientist work day and night and earn us some precious Foreign Currency in terms of Building satellites and Launching satellites for Countries Like Israel , US and France .. You are wasting time Posting Absurd Posts like these which serve no purpose .

Rather than looking at the real issues you are wasting everyone time flaring up posts about a Organization which is actually earing us some money

At 80 Million $ is was the cheapest Moon Mission with 4 US and 5 EU experiments .

Please do your math and come back , Please read about the 14 mission Chandaryaan was supposed to complete . 4 US missions and 5 EU missions apart form Some Universities would also sent their missions as well.

    1. Neemit, I don’t think it brought a any goodwill for the Indian Scientists. And as mentioned in the post it does not matter how much money we wasted compared to others. The point is that we wasted money. If we talk about US and UK they don’t waste money.

      1. Now this is the Joke of the Century . the same Unmanned Mission costed them Billions of Dollars . That’s why they Now a days prefer ISRO send their satellites into space . Which is good for us. ISRO Chanrayaan launched us into the big league of nations which can go out of the earth orbit .

Nobody would give you Work Until you Prove that you can pull sich a feat. After this See how many Launches are planned for Foreign Countries.. because truth is we do it cheaper at 10000$ per KG as compared 30000$ average by Western Countries .

And Taking of Goodwill .. Girte Hian Veer maidaine Jag me .. Wo kya gire to gutnoo ke baal chale

    Abey o chutiye

Thu kya koi neta ko paida hua kya. dham hai toh ja ke un harmiyon ke loot yaa rok.
(Are you born to a politician. if you have courage stop those corrupt and recover the hard earned money of country).

    Bekar me thane math mar.
    (dont just critise)

Actully tuj jaise behakufon ka article padna yah respond karna hi bada wast hai.
(acually reading article of fools like you itself is a great sin and writing back is more of that )

Agar tuh insano ko paida hua hoga toh. Apna brain laga kar mission objective ko pad aur 70000 images se moon’s evolution, mysteries ko unravel kar.
(if you are really born to humans. Use your brains – use the data and uravel mysteries of moon and provide new understanding to the world from chandrayaan data)

    Chutiya sala bath kartha bada.

    1. I wish I could reply to you the way I wanted to but then I need to maintain a decorum on my blog. I am not a fcuking asshole like you. And yes I could write it in Hindi and English as well but since I know you understand English as well, I am writing this for everyone.

Alright now coming on to your reply. I know there is corruption in our country and you know it as well. But all I know is that till the time people like think a patriot should always think positive about his/her country we would never be able to clear these obstacles. And just to let you know had it not been those negative thinkers or criticizers we would not have got freed and you would still be a slave and washing dishes for some British.

And you sick go to NASA site if you want to see Moon’s images they are better then Chandrayaan’s, this I can assure you. I think you or any Indian would prefer spending this money on our policeman’s safety or road improvement then watching an ISRO image over the internet. If you don’t understand what I just said then let me know. What will you do with the images that are captured by Chandrayaan. World needed images of the backside of the moon which could not happen.

And be a true Indian, not some fcuking asshole.

      Dear Sir,

I am an post graduate Mechanical Engineer, I want to bring following information in your knowledge:

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Head Shri G Madhavan Nair is making fool of Indian Government, Chandrayaan 1 project, is totally a flop, ISRO head is claiming that they have searched water on Moon, this act was already done by NASA 10 years Back, what new ISRO has done.

FARMERS in India is dying and doing suicide due to draught, ordinary peoples in India have very less cleaned water to drink.

We don’t have proper sources of water irrigation here in India on this earth, what an ordinary person will do if there is a little water on moon.

Prices of Cooking Gas is out of reach of ordinary public in INDIA, Petrol and diesel prices are increasing day by day.

Prices of pulses, vegetables, and other food items are increasing day by day; ordinary person is dying due to hunger because he can’t purchase even pulses or vegetables due to heavy prices.

India have no sources of proper drinking water, even now we are depend on monsoon for crops and for agriculture.

It is very shameful for Indian government who have closed their eyes in the above matters, and Indian government is spending Billions of Dollars on these kind of flop Chandrayaan projects.

Kindly stop Chandrayaan 2 project, to save our country, otherwise prices of food items and other things will go out of control day by day and ordinary person will die day by day.

NASA has lot of money to spend in these kinds of projects.

Kindly improve the economy of our country INDIA, Kindly give facilities to Indian poor farmers, Indian poor peoples, than do other projects.

I hope Indian Government will understand the feeling of this common man and do needful in improving the lifestyle of Indian poor peoples rather than wasting money in these kind of nonsense and flop Chandrayaan projects.

      With Regards

  3. Bhuwan

It is not wastage of Money. It is our investment. It has provided useful information as well as preparing India for Man mission to Moon.

  4. Sanjay

Kuldeep, what do you do for a living? Your post came across as ignorant, smug, and stupid. You clearly have more mouth than brains. Are you a teenager? Of course India has to send space probes to neighboring bodies like the Moon and Mars, in order to claim its rightful share of their resources.

People like you would have been telling us years ago not to waste time on developing skills in software and computers, because you can’t eat software or fill your stomach by chewing on floppy disks. But it is precisely these high-technology industries which are bringing in more money to India, to accelerate economic growth and development.

Likewise, space technology is certainly a way for Indians to not just generate revenue, but also to advertise our capabilities so that others will see us as a useful alternative for low-cost hi-tech engineering.

And by the way, all these technologies you see being used to save the environment today were pioneered by the space industry. People are trying to use solar panels today to power their homes and personal devices, but it was the space industry which developed these things in the first place. Space industry has pioneered technologies in water management, air purification, thermal management, etc.

Meanwhile, Indians waste far more money on going to the movies every year, and also in making these movies. How does watching films and their stupid fantasy stories help development? Or look how much money is spent on enjoying cricket – how does this help development?

Oh, but only when space industry is discussed, then suddenly some smart-alec types want to make comments about poverty, not when movie industry is discussed, or cricket matches – as if those pursuits are great deep accomplishments that deserve a free pass, while only space development should be given a hard time.

It is engineers, scientists and managers who come up with the solutions to society’s problems, not film celebrities and cricket players. Would you rather that kids aspire to become filmstars or astronauts/engineers? I think it’s obvious which will do more for society. It is the heroes of the space industry who will be the better role-models for the youth of today and tomorrow.

No matter what side of the economic debate you’re on, whether you’re a capitalist or a communist, it can be seen that both capitalist and communist societies have pursued space technology development. It was the peasant-loving Soviets who first pushed out into space with Sputnik.

India has to keep up with the other powers, or else face being left behind, and deprived of opportunities. By showcasing its strong engineering skills, India will attract customers for its natural homegrown technological talent, which will bring more economic prosperity to the country.

  5. We’ll see. Let our scientists come back with some evidence. I already mentioned. If our scientists are able to provide some evidence on the conspiracy of secret societies on Moon, I would feel ISRO Chandrayaan as successful mission.

  6. By profession I am an IT Expert. Thank you very much for your comment and welcome to The Revolutioners. I am a 28 year old Indian who happens to be living in a country where people like you live. Where people are not willing to accept the fact that yes we did something wrong. I am sure if I create a post about Mahatma Gandhi being the solely responsible person for Indo-Pak partition, people like you will come and try to defend it. Its not your problem is our tendency.

Anyways lets move on to your questions.

Your second paragraph, there is a difference between spending money on Educational purpose and spending money in filling the pockets of our sarkari babus on the name of these failed missions. and yes please plea again that we have sent it at the cheapest cost and blah blah.. the fact is that it was our money, the Indian citizens money. I mean yes we are proud of it. but WTF, what did I get. But I can assure you our sarkari babus would have got a lot of things except anything to research on.

Your third paragraph, Well I think you don’t know most these kinds of contracts are already with India. There is no one in the race as we are the cheapest. What was there to prove ? We were already leading.

Your fourth paragraph, Can you name any of those things that you mentioned being pioneered in India by our scientists.

Your fifth and sixth paragraph, Cricket and Movies are self independent industries. They do not take funds from government. They actually bring money in India. So I don’t have any problem till the time they are not eating up my fcuking money. And a matter of fact these two industries are the most revenue generated industries with maximum employment perspective.

Your seventh paragraph, I just want to say and this is my assumption. Correct me if I am wrong. most of the recent scientific success has been achieved only because it was all fantasized first and that was in movies only.

your eight paragraph, But you see the difference, what happened 40 years ago we are repeating it now. I mean they were in some kind of race we were not. But now we are in race suddenly. By the way why is no scientist in India working on Nuke energy plant. Why are we buying it from US. do we not have skills? Do we not have money? Do we not have Uranium? What do we not have man ?

And last but not the least. Yes we need to keep up with others and I totally agree with you. I am not against our countries prosperity. I too want to live in a better India. But if you can just think over my last paragraph I think you would understand that our priority needs to be changed. It would have been great if India had got a nuke power plan of its own which powers the entire India and still we have surplus.

OK now its Neemits turn. Neemit When I live in India I expect my government to be true to its citizens. I don’t know whether you know about it or not. US and UK and other governments are kind of cheating with their citizens. There is definitely some extra terrestrial elements visiting earth. May be US is hiding that. so All I was saying is that if we get to know about it first and reveal it to the world. Wouldn’t world think and believe that our government is the most transparent government ever. Would we not be benefited by that.

  7. aditya

Kuldeep, you say chandrayaan shouldn’t have been launched, the mission should have been scrapped. Fine. Lets assume we did it. the govt. would then have around 400 crores at hand. What do you think they would do with it? Hand it over to the HRD ministry to take care of the ‘starving millions’? The budget of HRD ministry last year was more than 53000 crores (correct me if I am wrong). Do you really think 400 extra crores could have created a difference? Get real man…..those 400 crores were certainly the best spent money last year. Instead of blaming ISRO for blowing up 400 crores( which it did not!!)try asking the govt where those 53000 crores disappeared. I hope you get the point…..

  8. I think chandrayaan was a step in right direction . We should Grab our place in the Space before it’s too late. One day or the another Humans would be able to inhibit other planets , We should not the the ones left behind

  11. Mahen, I understand and agree with you what you saying. But we need to first of all be capable of sending people to other planets. Its good to know whether any other planet in our solar system is habitable or not. But its pointless if we don’t have any mean to travel to that planet. Scientists are working on traveling to other planets, but its may be too late. If for god sake something wrong happens to earth I don’t think moon can escape that blow. If earth is going to be burnt by Sun’s scorching heat then moon will die as well.

      1. Go and Dip in that water and if the water on moon is not good enough then come back on earth and have a dip in our holy river Ganges and Yamuna.

I hope you understand what I am trying to say. I know you would not understand so let me give you a hint. We could have saved the money and spent it on sterilizing the water on earth which could help millions of people living on earth without water at present rather then thinking about making water molecules available on moon after some centuries in future.

  12. aditya

I repeat again……with 400 crores, there’s nothing much you can possibly do to help the people here…..loads of money is already allocated for that….do you really think there’s no money being allocated for water/sewage treatment plants? with 400 crores, you can probably sterilize a pond!!! come on guys think!! its just 4Rs per person in this country……it DOES NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!! this year, the subsidies for farmers regarding fertilizers reached 100000 crores….thats right…no typing mistake…that’s the kind of money being spent on them by the govt( atleast on paper)…still their conditions are pathetic……again I ask, will 400 crores make a difference?

Mr.Vijaykumar and Kuldeep 28 years IT Expert. Open your eyes.

You vijay kumar you said “I am an post graduate Mechanical Engineer, I want to bring following information in your knowledge:”
“Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Head Shri G Madhavan Nair is making fool of Indian Government, Chandrayaan 1 project, is totally a flop, ISRO head is claiming that they have searched water on Moon, this act was already done by NASA 10 years Back, what new ISRO has done.”

This comment of yours shows what knowledge you gained. Just read the news stories (international) or research papers of the experts which are published in the Science Magazine. just based on media reports dont make such useless statements.

Just see the answer of nasa scientists to the question why they kept
quite all this years. for them they needed chandrayaan to go 100 km close to moon and study in depth in more than 3000 orbits around moon.

Mr.Kuldeep “Go and Dip in that water and if the water on moon is not good enough then come back on earth and have a dip in our holy river Ganges and Yamuna.” Dipping in water is matter of belief of
Hindus. You dont need to advise what they have to do.

Just to tell you one thing Moon Minerology Mapper which found water on Moon. was though built long back. None of the Japanese, Chinese mission to moon encouraged or gave place for it on board. Even the recent Moon Mission of NASA itself doesnt have Moon Minerology Mapper.

But india gave space to Moon Minerology Mapper. Just understand this america is same country who like your fickle mind questioned why india needs satellites or advanced rockets.

Mr.Vijay kumar america and russia are same countries which failed for 10-15 times before they could first orbit moon. But with CHANDRAYAAN india achieved in first go. India showed it can produce world class scientists (like C.V. RAMAN Noble laureate).

Earlieer india showed it has vast resource of cheap skilled labour sorry boot lickers of MNC companies (mispalced techno’s like you).

Mr.Kuldip Your statements show how corrupted your mind is. Instead of appreciating the efforts of scientists. you still talk nonsense. When world realised importance of Indian Mission people of country doesnt need your appreciation or value.

Just if you have guts publish your address on this site or to my mail. i will show you the result of nuisance talk what you have been encouraging without science or basing your talk on facts.

Anyways here is a piece of suggestion. i dont knw if you have done.

if you have guts file a RTI application with ISRO if you have doubts to clarify .

Further file a rti to every corrupt department in the city, state , country this will at least keep a check on those fellows who are sucking the blood of common man.

    Or leave your jobs
    1. Stop the corruption
    2. Work for effective policies to benefit poor people of india
    3. Guide isro how to use their expertise to benefit poor of the country (but before that just see what ISRO done in last 40 years compare it with other departments).

    Thanks

As always, I repeat , apparently to a bunch of senseless people, that 400 crores will not make a difference to the country’s economy……as for govt closing their eyes on other areas,Govt has allocated a budget of around 33000 crores for improving school infrastructure this year…..try adding 400 crores to that……drinking water, hunger, education, poverty are issues which cannot be solved using the tiny budget of ISRO ( which hit $1 Billion this year, contrary to the ‘billions of dollars’ as mentioned by the above gentleman)…..I am not defending the govt here, merely pointing out that scrapping the space program does not , I repeat, DOES NOT make a difference to the country’s economic status……and the next person who leaves a comment here, please do provide a counter argument to mine, instead of blindly declaring the space program a waste……

  15. I tell you what. GO spend these extra 400 corore rupees in Delhi and speedup the process so that we can organize the Commonwealth games. Otherwise whatever goodwill we have, “so called” achieved from this Chandrayaan will go all in vain because the whole world will laugh at us and no body would even look at a company who used to take other’s mission rovers to moon and the company used to get that job just because they were cheap. And finally when others mission are successful we are very proud that we did it.
I understand nothing can be done in 400 corore but for villagers in india its a very big amount. For ISRO it might just be buying a CHIP from US for 800 corore but for the villagers its food water and other amenities for years. And your 33000 corore rupees is not enough to light up the whole india. People in remote villages are still using lanterns. and living on stale water. So if we spend these 400 corore rupees in development on earth then i believe there could have been atleast 50 villages getting what is required to live a proper life.
Just go and ask the world, how do they look at Indians. I hope you saw the movie Slumdog Millionaire. That is reality. So come out of your dreamland. If 10 out of 100 people around the world says wow ISRO did a fantastic job and 90 other says its a land of poor, so go and spend money on those poor people. You are from the group who only listen to those 10 people. other 90 would keep screaming along with indians like me and it would not even make any difference to people like you.
And with these 400 corore rupees I am asking for basic things. I have not gone into the depth my dear. We could spend billions of dollors in making our country safer and prosperous and Chandrayaan mission was no where close to achieve any of these things.

    1. VIJAY KUMAR KHURANA

      Dearest Mr. Kuldeep, HELLO

I AM REALLY PROUD OF YOU, AND YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, I AM AGREED WITH YOUR STATEMENT.

33000 crores were not enough, 33400 crores will suffice? BTW that was just the budget to boost infrastructure of govt schools……All I am saying is, 400 crores are better off with scientists who reached the moon and made a credible discovery, rather than in the hands of bureaucrats who will squander the entire amount in the name of feeding 50 villages….yes, we could spend billions of dollars in making our country safer…..400 crores doesn’t make us any poorer….slumdog millionare- that movie just confirms the western view of India- slums, crowded trains, bollywood song dance, riots, child beggars, cheats, call centres, Amitabh Bachchan and the Taj Mahal…..

  17. Just put yourself in those 50 villagers shoes and then answer this question to me. Will 33400 corore is enough or we need 33000 only.
And I think as per you we need to spend more on ISRO and compromise our country’s development. Till the time we don’t raise our voice on government’s failed projects they will keep on wasting our money and won’t even hesitate once.
And you seems to be very good at budget thing. Could you please tell us how much was spent on Bhuvan. ISRO will say its 110% successful because it is providing necessary information to the villagers. WTF ? Go bloody first of all provide computers and elecrticity to them only then they can see the information.
And before that check the website, even after 2 months its not working.

  18. Thanks Ayushi, I can very well moderate these comments but that will make them look like artificial and I did not want that. I wanted the debate to be as real and precise as it can be.
But point taken. I will surely look into this next time onwards.

    1. VIJAY KUMAR KHURANA

      Mr. KULDEEP is absolutely right

      Dear Ayushi,

Chandrayan is totally a flop mission and ISRO and Indian Government top leaders has eaten the precious money of poor indian farmers, who dont have even electricity in their houses, and government is putting the dust in the eyes of indian people and eating huge amount of money in the name of chandrayan kind of projects.

Fisrt ISRO has to improve the conditions of our life line that is our villages, then talk about these kind of flop projects.

  20. Yes you’re rigth. I think india government waste money in this ISRO Chandrayaan project. And they must focus a head in india infrastructure like road, railway, airport, bus station, public transport. And also they must focus development in energy sector.

  21. S.Verghese

ISRO’s work is totally a waste because you
get hundreds of TV channels at your TV at Home,
You can make a trunk call from even from the most distant
island of India, when you get early warning of a cyclone,
Hourly pictures of clouds and weather data from around
the country, Spread education to the needy in 20,000 schools
which do not have trained teachers, when a poor heart patient in
Tripura can contact a Heart surgen – face to face – sitting at Bangalore,
Provide vital information about the borders for our security people,
and also launch a low cost mission to the moon to study about the
heavenly bodies by our own young generation, Locate 90,000 places for underground water sources, give information to the public about the
environmental degradation, provide the maps for town and village planners, … it is all a waste..

Oi kuldeep and vijay puttar…are you some chinki or paki(ISI) moles in indian garb MADE TO WRITE ALL THESE GIBBERISH??? undoubtedly from what u wrote.Dont worry.Indians and ISRO will forge ahead in spite of irritants like you.

hey, all you people who think that chandrayan was a waste. i would like to tell you something.do you know that U.S,canada ,australia ,new zealand they are all discovered land and you know by whom :europians and how they did this,by wasting money on sea travels.now they are the kings of the world.if we indians would have done that before then the poverty condition in india had never existed.

so all you phattus, don't say anything about anything scientific going on india, no matter how much money does it cost.

    Hey all ,

I was very much interested by this topic. Before I comment any thing about this topic I have to be honest I am a 3rd year Engineering student (Information Technology) and my passion is to become a scientist in ISRO.

Correct me if i am wrong and no offense to anybody, most of the reply to the post contained valuable points but let me add some information that might be helpful for figuring this out.

    Comments to others points
    —————————————

First of all I feel that government has allocated budget for each field .Sure the money allocated for research in ISRO could be used for reducing poverty. But we cannot blame ISRO for it. The government decides the allocation of money and has allocated for every field.

ISRO is one of the organizations that strengthen our nation’s name among others. Its contributions are notable even how small or large it is.

Here if we take the case of “chandrayaan” project, it proved the existence of water in the moon. Surely it is one of the remarkable contributions to Science.

Someone said ISRO missions are a flop and we are wasting money. In Science you should know a general fact that not all things gives us result as we expect when it made or used for the first time. There will always be flaws or loopholes to point out that our work is not “perfect” so that we could try to correct them.

Let me explain this with an example:

We are all familiar with Thomas Alva Edison .Once ‘Nikon Tesla’ an assistant of Edison quoted that Edison has failed many times during the discovery of the Electric bulb. But Edison replied back to him that “If I find 10,000 ways something won’t work, I haven’t failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward”. So this is the proof to the fact that ISRO can only improve and not fail every time.

    Troubleshooting
    ———————–

I think all these arguments about the wastage of money come from the fact India has no proper system for meeting the needs in each sector. That is we are not carefully organizing our inputs to get proper outputs.

Indian government should allocate the money as required for each sector. And most importantly they should ensure that the money is reaching to proper hands. If they can do these two points then there is no conflict whether or not money is wasted by ISRO by doing their job.
We need growth in every sector not in just one. For example just consider the argument which stated that ISRO is wasting time doing junk projects and could use the money used by the organization, for putting an end to poverty.

I’m not suggesting that technology is more important than humanity towards fellow beings .I’m also from a poor family. So I understand the pain of poverty. But that doesn’t give me the right to say that our country’s growth can only achieved by overcoming poverty. A country also needs scientific advancement in order for financial and social growth of the country.
In simple words government should divide the budget into such a way that no sectors one should interfere with one another that they have received less than what they should have.
Some are arguing that we need more money for development .No one says how we can meet our needs by using our current budget.

We currently have enough money for overcoming poverty. But the money is not reaching the people that are the main problem which should be the focus point of our discussion.
But instead if we are arguing “whether ISRO should give up chandrayaan 2?” then this discussion becomes irrelevant because if the money is not reaching the people then it doesn’t matter how much is allocated to them. Even if the whole budget is allocated for poor people, then also none will the people.

    Solution (From my view point)
    ——————————————

We should think about utilizing the budget we are allocated and by ensuring that each coin should reach its proper owner (us).

If you have doubts or questions or disagreement with my arguments then please I would really like to hear from you.

    With Regards

    Nandakumar.H.J

    1. Thanks for commenting Nandan, I think you definitely spent some time reading the post and comments. I would emphasize again on what I want to say. I don’t care if Government spends money on Chandrayaan or not. All I want is that there are far more pressing things to work on other than Chandrayaan. If we had enough money like US, UK then its fine. Let me give you some more perspective here.

1.We rank 112th in 162 listed countries in terms of per capita income.
      2. We are housing 40% of uneducated people of the world in India.

So I think we should first get our basics right. US and UK are in a position to spend millions on these research because they are developed, people are educated, infrastructure is world class. And they did not reach here by sending people on moon. But by spending money on infrastructure, education and other basic needs. As an Indian Government we should first provide employment, shelter and food then think about Chandrayaan.

There would be only 10 people praising the Chandrayaan success but believe me there are millions who say bad things about our corruption, poverty and uneducated people..

I feel bad about it. I don’t know about others.

  26. Nandakumar.H.J

I totally agree with you kuldeep. Even though I feel that chandrayaan is one of the greatest achievements , the Government is giving too much popularity for a single sector alone rather than trying to do the same kind of development for all the sectors.

You know our country is one of the few which have enough resources for development even after the invasion of foreign forces like Britain. But still we don’t make use of this resources. In fact we are destroying and wasting them more than we are trying to preserve them.

We Indians are crucially missing the factor of uniformity. That’s why even though we have enough resources that we can all share, we are unable to do so.

    For instance:

I have seen many people living in cities throwing food away rather than giving it to the poor; which reminded me of something – There is a school near our locality. It wastes food in huge amounts .I think in a day they throw away food which is enough to feed 10 families!!!!!

We also have to keep in mind that we are expecting too much from the Government which is in vain. I don’t think the present Government is going to do much good.

“So I say why pay taxes?”

    For instance:

If we have no good road in our locality then why don’t we organize everyone in the locality and tell them to donate money for the development of the road. Then instead of expecting the government to do the job why don’t we just do it.

I’m not suggesting that everyone should blast their earnings on the development; I am suggesting that any way the budget which is allocated to us in large scale is the resultant of the amount obtained from the tax we pay. So why don’t we make our country a better place by doing our duties. By doing so we are also being a role model for the future generation by showing them how to be loyal to the country.

We keep our home clean .So why can’t we do the same about our surroundings and the same about our country?

We respect other nations and follow the rules and regulations when we visit them while simply showing no regard for our nation’s rules.

The basic answer to make an individual think of all the above realization can only be accomplished through proper education, which allows them to make the right decisions in making our country a better place to live.

There is a famous quote by Machado, Luis AlbertI:

“The level of the development of a country is determined, in considerable part, by the level of development of its people’s intelligence. “
