Do you always wonder how some people who posted comments have their personal image instead of a funny image. Well, that image right next to your comment is known as an avatar.
Revolutioners.com runs WordPress and Gravatar is one service which you can use to get a Global Avatars. This avatar is recognized on every blog on the internet, so not just on Revolutioners, you can use this Avatar on any other blog. You don’t have to register to any blog to comment unless comments are not closed. To get an avatar, you must register (free) at Gravatar.com. Make sure that you use your real email address.
Now when you leave a comment, Use the same email address that you registered with, your avatar will automatically be added with your comment. You can add more email addresses in your Gravatar.com account. Every account will be associated with an email address and every email address will be associated with an image. Whenever you use any of the email address verified on Gravatar while posting any comment. The avatar associated with that email will be visible.
And not only will your avatar be added to comments on Revolutioners.com, but to every blog that uses Gravatar Service, and there are thousands of them as everyone who uses WordPress for Blogging.
And just an FYI. Gravatar is creation of the same guy who developed WordPress
