Add Comment | 476 views There are many things that Indian Government needs to fix but these are some of them which I feel will make or break our country’s future in the coming years.
- Inflation: With the most of India’s vast population living close to or below the poverty line, inflation acts as a ‘Poor Man’s Tax’. This effect is amplified when food prices rise, since food represents more than half of the expenditure of this group.
- Terrorism - I know it should have been on the top of the list however I chose it to be on the 2nd place because people are any which ways dying due to not being able to feed themselves because of the rise in price of the consumable commodities.We spend a huge amount of money on defense but where is the defense. We have been preparing for WW III for I don’t know how long. And in that process we have forgotten to spend money in the right direction.
- Unemployment – Not a big deal in the rural areas but a huge concern for the people living in the urban areas. It seems to have deteriorated in the past 1 year but we need to go miles from here. We are no where near what a developed country should be. Unemployment rate as of now is around 10%

1 Comment | 282 views Today will mark as a historical day in Indian history as we get verdict on Babri Masjid. Allahabad High Court, today will be settling the dispute over the Ram Janmabhoomi – Babri Masjid, which has remained unresolved for decades or I must say centuries? Everyone might be waiting for the verdict eagerly but I am not. I don’t think it makes any sense to announce verdict just before the CWG 2010. Indian Government is already facing criticism with the common wealth games. And the verdict at this point of time could really make things worse. What if the verdict stirs up some violence and players and authorities gets hurt? Military would not be able to do anything if 2-3 lac people come out of their houses and try to raid the CWG venue. The same thing happened during the demolition of the Babri Masjid. I really wish this verdict could have been postponed. I feel this verdict date has been ill planned when government knew that Delhi would be hosting Common Wealth Games in this month. Everyone is speculating social unrest in the country as the words come out of the court this afternoon.

For those who has not seen the so called world class facilities prepared for common wealth games 2010 by our Indian Government. BBC has done us a huge favor and released some images of the beauty. Don’t be ashamed of anything because as per our government that’s our standard of living and this is the best they could do. And bonus is that our Delhi Government promises to improve it before the whistle blows for the first play of CWG 2010. Pretty Heroic huh !
And yeah, anyone counting the countries laughing on Indian Government now. 8 years, 8 bloody years and we could not prepare some flats and stadiums. Just for your information if you did not know, China had its games facilities ready 2 years before the Olympic Games. 2 Years, yeah because they knew their county’s reputation was at skate.
India should not have been allowed to host the 2010 Commonwealth Games, according to the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) president John Coates. I can’t even begin to tell you how I feel after reading this but there is nothing we can do. Damage is done. Good Luck India and sit tight all the Indians. We are in for a roller coaster ride for the next 2-3 weeks.

4 Comments | 390 views I did not want to write anything on this topic. There has been lot of developments in the past. But I think what I heard today needs to be read by each and every person in India. I think everyone who is visiting India as well.
- OK, the foot over bridge collapsed today,30 injured.
- Countries are raising concerns over the security during the games in Delhi.
- People got attacked just before the games.
- Security Cameras are not working.
- 96000 useless cops are securing Delhi during common wealth games.
- And the biggie for you guys. Watch this report from Channel 7. An australian reporter managed to take explosives inside the Khel Gaon the CWG 2010 city.
I think we are absolutely ready for common wealth games because there is no fu**ing preparation at all. Even after the attack and the terrorists claiming to have done the damages our government is ignorant about everything. Sorry for my bad language, but I could not resist myself. Its the only way I could vent out. I think the article I wrote about how can we help our government is of no use.

18 Comments | 7,281 views Alright, I think its the time that I talk about the burning issue of Commonwealth Games supposed to be held in Delhi, India. I think we are trying our best to keep them here but somehow I am getting this feeling that we are not ready. Our government has not even started the construction of some of the stadiums. We I really wish our Indian Government best of luck. May God bless them with some wisdom. Why do these guys not understand that it will be less shameful if we tell the Commonwealth Games community that we are not ready to host the event rather then the athletes coming to India and coming to know that we are not even able to provide the basic facilities to them. Forget about organizing the Commonwealth Games 2010.
