It’s been more than 2 days that I am looking at these images. People said the images might be disturbing. But to be frank, the images did not disturb me at all. There are other reasons which made me write this post. I love my country and I love it to an extent that if I had to kill 100 corrupts to make our country better I would be more than willing to do so. You won’t believe as an Indian how bad I felt when some Chinese brats wrote badly about my country. But somehow I feel we don’t have anything to say against them. People have been fighting on the thread where these images were posted for the first time, trying to prove that we Indians are well mannered, literate and sophisticated than China. But deep down inside somewhere they know that they are just protecting their country without making any sense. Guys, pin pointing each other is not the solution to the problem. Yeah I saw those filthy polluted Chinese images as well in the same post as a comment

I don’t know how much time we would take to get rid of our old rituals, beliefs and political corruption to make India a truly developed country. I am guessing at least 200 years or earlier if there is 3rd World War and we get ruled by US or UK again. Look what happened to Hong Kong.

Anyways, here are some comments that people left on the article to enlighten what world thinks about us.

Very true.. I studied in India for three years and I saw all these things. I traveled to so many countries before India and so far, India is the worst.

I have friends who complained about the cleanliness of China, that kiss the Chinese ground now, after visiting India.

I lived in India for 2 years, I will never ever go back there again, most dis-honest people, dirtiest place in the world.

NEVER will I bitch about America again. And I thought our big problem was our greedy p.o.s. politicians and government. I would not go to India for a million dollars and if I did I would not go in the water for a billion dollars. I guess we do not know how well we have it here.

There are three reasons for India’s depravity: Brahmanism [misleading philosophy of casteism]; the killing of millions of Buddhists at the hands of the Rajputs [karmic retribution]; and the destruction of Buddhism [cause and effect].

It doesn’t matter if he was there for 4 years, 4 months or 4 days. Just the fact that you could even get one of these photos would be enough. I could hang out 24-7 for the next 4 years on the Bund in front of the Huangpu river, or Suzhou creek and I probably won’t have an opportunity to catch similar photos. Yes I’m talking about photos of rotting human corpses with dogs feeding on them. Nasty

I am an Indian and am deeply sad to see these pictures. We do need a miracle to improve but i sincerely think that this would be solved by education. By educating humans. With poverty comes ignorance. If you were born in a family like the ones seen above, ignorance and illiteracy along with poverty lead to such situations that these people dont understand.

When Indians started these practices their population was in the thousands. Now that they number over a billion these practices cannon continue for health reasons alone. When a city had a 1000 citizens throwing a body into the nearby river had a negligible effect on disease, health, hygiene etc. Now that cities have millions of people these practices should stop

Oh man, I live in the Philippines and it isn’t even remotely as bad as this.

Truly disgusting!!! More distrusting than Guangdong fetus soup ..

Um, why are you people in shock? It’s INDIA, one of the most polluted countries in the world. The level of poverty in Indian is crazy, an average human being would know that. You people are sick to think that it’s their fault! Their uneducated and don’t know any different. This is what’s wrong with the world, and this sort of thing needs first priority.

Education!!!!!

And now the images

Today will mark as a historical day in Indian history as we get verdict on Babri Masjid. Allahabad High Court, today will be settling the dispute over the Ram Janmabhoomi – Babri Masjid, which has remained unresolved for decades or I must say centuries? Everyone might be waiting for the verdict eagerly but I am not. I don’t think it makes any sense to announce verdict just before the CWG 2010. Indian Government is already facing criticism with the common wealth games. And the verdict at this point of time could really make things worse. What if the verdict stirs up some violence and players and authorities gets hurt? Military would not be able to do anything if 2-3 lac people come out of their houses and try to raid the CWG venue. The same thing happened during the demolition of the Babri Masjid. I really wish this verdict could have been postponed. I feel this verdict date has been ill planned when government knew that Delhi would be hosting Common Wealth Games in this month. Everyone is speculating social unrest in the country as the words come out of the court this afternoon.

I was really young when the Babri Masjid was demolished in 1992. We did not have cable connection at our place at that time and moreover I was not concerned about what happened in this world. Now that I know all the events that happened it does not really make any sense. Believe me I had not watched the demolition video till today. I just watched it on Youtube this morning. Its outrageous and unbelievable how mean politics can be. OK Let me recall the whole dispute in short. As per the experts, there used to be a Ram Mandir where Babri Mosque was built on Babar’s order in 1527 and named it Masjid-i Janmasthan (“mosque of the birthplace”) acknowledging the site as the birthplace of the Hindu deity, Lord Rama. Ever since then both Hindu and Muslims used to worship in that mosque. But late in 18th century Hindus were banned for worshipping in the mosque. Various Hindu and Muslim parties filed a case in court since 1900-2000 claiming the land. Then in 1992 the mosque was demolished by 2 million Hindu extremists gathered in shilanyas (stone-laying ceremony) at the disputed land. Before and after the demolition of the mosque Archeological Survey of India did some in depth study of the structure and rubble which indicated a large Hindu building existed where the mosque was. That is whole story short.

I feel a normal Indian citizen whether Hindu or Muslim would not have any comprehension problem with the verdict. Its only our political parties who will take undue advantage of the verdict and try to create social unrest in the country. And at this point of time when we have a big event (Common Wealth Games) lined up in the coming month it gives the bad elements all the more reason to create problems.

I just want to convey this message to the government that we don’t need a Mosque or Mandir on that land. All we need is peace. So make a hospital, school, library or anything on that land which will benefit all religion and community.

I have been trying to post an article around it for a long time now but I am not getting the required information on that. I am looking for the number of Babas (Spiritual Guys) that are available in India.

Is there any organization that keeps a record on these ? Is there any body that maintains the information about them ?

You must be wondering why I am asking this. Well there are various reasons.

First, I am 1000% percent sure there is no database for such information, but still to keep the things open I am asking you all. If there is any then I would like to check it out.

Second, I am neither in favor of these kind of people nor I am against them. I just want to know how many of people are there in India who are expert in making fool out of the world. That too in mass, in public and open.

Third, Is there any track of their property. Are we going to ever touch them. Would we even make any rule and regulation for them or they would just keep fooling us. I understand its up to us whether we get fooled by someone or not. But at least when are robbed then there should be some kind of justice to the people. I know Police is there. But is there any preventive control.

I have asked so many questions and frankly speaking I don’t have answers to any of them.

What do you guys think ? Do you support these babas ? Do you think we should have a control body for them?

One more thing. Just a food for thought, How many temples do we have in India ? I can have a track of Mosques because there is a body behind that which controls of building new mosques without permission. Its not like you put a Lekshmi Ganesh statue on someone’s property and start praying there for 10 days and then it becomes a public property. That place can not be demolished and the funniest part is that our government supports it. There is an act I read somewhere which prohibits to demolish any temple in India. Bloody hell first get an act in place which controls building them. If we dedicate and build a temple for every god in India, just imagine the land acquired by temples in India keeping in mind that we have over billions of Devi-Devtas.
