iPhone 4S Camera Review

When Apple unveiled the new iPhone 4S, one of the new features they took the time to exhibit was the newly improved camera. And temporal noise reduction helps you take great videos in low light. So night’s not too dark and candles look like candles. And you’ll see faces, places, and significant details.

The iPhone 4S camera has been completely redesigned on the inside, so everything you shoot outside looks better than you remember.

Sporting 8 mega pixels worth of, well, pixels, the new shooter is also capable of capturing 1080p video, an improvement over the already remarkable 720p, 5 mega pixel camera in the iPhone 4. The advanced backside illumination sensor and larger aperture let in even more light. Improved auto white balance makes color even more accurate.

How to find awesome photographs on Internet

Stumple upon this small and very informative article on American Photo Magazine. Thought should share it with you guys. It’s worth a read.

There are now over 60 billion photographs on Facebook. To put that in perspective, from the dawn of modern photography in the mid-1920s through 1990, it’s estimated that around 57 billion photographs were made.

Photography is everywhere on the internet: personal snapshots of friends and family; professionally produced photojournalism; high and low fashion; cellphone snapshots from protests around the globe; intimate photographs depicting every imaginable aspect of human sexuality; banal scenes of street life; party photographs; photographs of celebrities in the club and in the bedroom; photographs of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Photographs are everywhere and all of us are looking at them every day. It’s unavoidable. And while many photographers might gripe that the majority of these images aren’t very good or interesting (they’re probably right), the proliferation has had a positive impact on how I personally experience photography.

The combination of affordable digital cameras, camera phones and the ease of sharing photography online has made “everyone a photographer” and more importantly, made everyone involved in the photography conversation whether they realize it or not. A by-product of this is that more and more people are becoming seriously interested in improving their photography, and seeking out high-quality work for inspiration or enrichment.

Browser Evolution (1994-2011) – From Netscape to Chrome

Looking at the browsers in the current browser race it is hard to remember the time when one browser dominated the market. No one ever thought that this race would last for such a long time. Netscape had over 86% of the market share. Then came Microsoft with their first browser in the market and started dominating the market. Once Microsoft started integrating Internet Explorer with Windows they unsurprisingly took over the market and dominated it for several years. Internet Explorer would not have gained this much popularity if it was not for Windows. Ever since then Microsoft never looked back, though their market share has dropped drastically but they still lead the way in browser war. Chrome and Firefox are catching up. But I am predicting it won’t be long when either Firefox or Chrome beats the crap out of IE. Enjoy this infograhpic and the The History of Web Browsers. Once again a large picture :P [56k warning]

Life without Facebook – Infographics

Facebook really is one of the biggest success stories of the last 10 years, and not just when it comes to companies based around the internet. Infamously founded by Mark Zuckerberg while at Harvard, Facebook is now home to over 600 million users – and it shows no sign of slowing in its meteoric rise to ruling to social networking world. But what if Facebook was never founded? It just so happens rent-an-evangelist Guy Kawasaki asked that very same question and came up with this infographic courtesy of SimpleGrain.

As well as answering that particular burning question, this infographic also reminds us just how staggering that 600m user stat is – remember that the population of Russia is just 143m, and in 1600AD there were only 545m people on the entire planet!

It’s impossible to comprehend complex data or analyze large amounts of information, if we only use words or texts. Infographic is one of the most challenging types of graphic design because the creation process alone is pretty intensive. Researching data is a very lengthy procedure of getting information that takes both your time and dedication for obtaining resourceful and correct data. After that, the designer must be able to create a strong visual impact that precisely displays the information in way that is rational and blend with the overall design.

We are truly delighted to show you these brilliant and informative infographics created by various talented individuals. Here’s a collection of 50 infographics that are creatively designed, colorful, lively, shocking and educational. Let’s have some visual feast!

Nerds who changed the Internet World

We wouldn’t have even spent 20% of our time online that we do now if these guys hadn’t done what they did for us in the internet world.  I am a great follower of some of the guys listed below. Favorite is Steve Jobs. The world has become tightly connected since the internet. The web itself has replaced the practice of reading newspaper. Most of us now communicate through e-mails instead of paper and pen. We now watch networks or movies online, it has even become a wide business venture, so much so we can now make purchase and pay our bills through the internet. The web has also transformed friendships through various social media. It also provides us the possibility to reconnect with people from our childhood and it can be a life changing event.

Having a great idea is one thing. Turning that idea into a booming company through innovation and execution is what that matters most. Here, these are the people who have the biggest impact on the direction of the web: past, present, and future. They changed the internet and revolutionized the way we lead our lives today. Just imagine the world without internet. You can’t because it has become our daily life.

There will be time for all this or Will there be ?

I have been struggling to concentrating at my work. I don’t know. My mind keeps diverting towards internet and searches for unknown. I haven’t really found what I have been looking for yet. Neither I know what I am suppose to search for. Just usual daily chores. This may lead to some issues in future. So to keep myself motivated I created 2 wallpapers. Actually 1 but then I added background in the 2nd one. Here is the thumbnail of the wallpapers. If you like them please go ahead and have them on your desktop. It really helps me concentrate. Whenever I get distracted and start doing something which is not required, I just look at the wallpaper and get back to what is important.

There are two ways to interpret the message. One, there will be all the time in this world to do whatever you are doing at this point of time. Start doing what is important to you at the moment. Second one is a little pessimistic approach. It says “Will there be all time for all this?”

How do you want to interpret?

Absolutely stunning creative and inspirational Wikileaks Images

I have been following wikileaks for a long time now. This website has given journalism a new image. Website launched in 2006 has gained a lot of popularity. Website won a lot of awards as well. Everything funded by people around the world.

More about Wikileaks : WikiLeaks (sometimes Wikileaks) is an international organization that publishes anonymous submissions and leaks of otherwise unavailable documents while preserving the anonymity of sources. Its website, launched in 2006, is run by The Sunshine Press. Within a year of its launch, the site claimed a database that had grown to more than 1.2 million documents.

The organization has described itself as having been founded by Chinese dissidents, as well as journalists, mathematicians, and start-up company technologists from the U.S., Taiwan, Europe, Australia, and South Africa. Newspaper articles and The New Yorker magazine (June 7, 2010) describe Julian Assange, an Australian journalist and Internet activist, as its director.

Did you see the World Class Facility for Common Wealth Games 2010 ?

For those who has not seen the so called world class facilities prepared for common wealth games 2010 by our Indian Government. BBC has done us a huge favor and released some images of the beauty. Don’t be ashamed of anything because as per our government that’s our standard of living and this is the best they could do. And bonus is that our Delhi Government promises to improve it before the whistle blows for the first play of CWG 2010. Pretty Heroic huh !

And yeah, anyone counting the countries laughing on Indian Government now. 8 years, 8 bloody years and we could not prepare some flats and stadiums. Just for your information if you did not know, China had its games facilities ready 2 years before the Olympic Games. 2 Years, yeah because they knew their county’s reputation was at skate.

India should not have been allowed to host the 2010 Commonwealth Games, according to the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) president John Coates. I can’t even begin to tell you how I feel after reading this but there is nothing we can do. Damage is done. Good Luck India and sit tight all the Indians. We are in for a roller coaster ride for the next 2-3 weeks.

While I was about to publish this post, I thought of having another post tracking all the shame our government bought for our country through CWG 2010. (don’t forget to watch the pictures after the break)
